In this role, you act as the vital link between our customers, sales representatives, and our warehouse, supply chain, and finance teams, ensuring orders are entered accurately, exceptions are resolved quickly, and shipments arrive on time. With an understanding of our customers’ business and the pace of the CPG market, including seasonal and promotional deadlines, you will process purchase orders, monitor open and backordered orders, handle returns and claims, and provide regular order-status and service-level reports. You will be the go-to person for order status, delivery, and account questions.

Key Responsibilities

·       Enter, review, and validate customer purchase orders received via manual entry, EDI, B2B portals, or eCommerce platforms in the ERP system.

·       Monitor and clear daily order exceptions, including credit holds, pricing mismatches, compliance flags, and inventory allocations.

·       Partner with sales, warehouse/distribution, production/supply chain, transportation, and finance teams to prioritize shipments and align demand with available inventory.

·       Monitor open, backordered, and unshipped orders, and coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery.

·       Serve as the main point of contact for retail buyers, distributors, and internal sales reps on order status, backorders, delivery schedules, pricing questions, and escalations.

·       Process return merchandise authorizations (RMAs), shipping discrepancies, and quality or warranty claims.

·       Track KPIs such as first-response time, order-entry accuracy, and aged-order backlog. Produce daily and weekly order-status, inventory position, and service-level reports. Adhere to company commercial and financial policies.

Education and Experience

·       High school diploma with relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or Finance.

·       2+ years in order management, customer service, supply chain, or sales operations, preferably in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or retail distribution.

Skills and Competencies

·       Accuracy in order entry and validation across a high volume of accounts.

·       Manages a high-volume account portfolio and shifting priorities.

·       Resolves exceptions and discrepancies under tight seasonal and promotional deadlines.

·       Clear verbal and written communication with customers, sales, and cross-functional teams.
